Restaurant "Yar," formerly "Sovietsky" was many times awarded with diplomas, pennants and won the competitions of the association of Moscow restaurants. According to the pre-revolutionary press before 1918 "Yar" was considered restaurant No. 1 in Russia and in Europe.
