In 1999, according to the rating of "Kommersant" newspaper "Yar" was among the three best restaurants of Moscow.

Restaurant "Yar," formerly "Sovietsky" was many times awarded with diplomas, pennants and won the competitions of the association of Moscow restaurants. According to the pre-revolutionary press before 1918 "Yar" was considered restaurant No. 1 in Russia and in Europe.
