YAR history

  The Legendary YAR restaurant is well-known as the top restaurant in Russia and Europe. Founded in 1826, the YAR carefully follows the traditions of Russian hospitality and high quality of service. It was the favorite restaurant of the Royal Family and cream of Russian society. Pushkin, Chekhov, Tolstoy, Gorky paid attention to the YAR in their novels and poems.
  Nowadays, old YAR’s interiors: old frescoes on the walls and ceilings, the original crystal chandelier, summer fountain in the court yard were restored.
  Today the YAR is proud of its honored guests: The Prime Minister of Great Britain Margaret Thatcher, the German Chancellor Conrad Adenauer, the Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, the Russian Queen Maria Romanova, world-known singers & movie stars Mireille Mathieu, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolf Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Hot Couturier Pierre Cardin.
  The high quality of food & service is noted by the Russian President Administration which included the YAR in The Official List of Restaurants recommended for governmental delegations.
